I am a Senior Engineer at Digital Health Lab (DHL) in Samsung Research America, Inc (SRA). I joined the SRA in September, 2019. Since then, I've been working in the field of Health Informatics, engage in research and development of emerging technology with mobile and wearable devices. I received my PhD degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University at Detroit, Michigan. I joined the Textual Data Analytics (TEANA) Laboratory at Wayne State University in fall 2014. During my PhD study, I was doing my research with Assistant Professor Dr. Alexander Kotov and my research interest includes but not limited to health informatics, machine learning, and natural language processing.

Current works: develop the HIPPA compliant R&D platform to collect health & sensor data from patients and then maintain this platform to facilitate patient and physician through wearable and mobile solutions. We address some of healthcare’s toughest challenges, from improving care and producing better outcomes, to reducing cost, expanding access and engaging patients.

Past works: developed machine learning models for the automatic annotation of motivational interview transcripts. We analyzed sequential patterns in motivational interviews (MI). We also analyzed email-based behavioral interventions (e-Coaching) by leveraging natural language processing and machine learning technologies
